As a kick off to Toronto Fashion Week, FGI celebrated the internationally respected fashion trend forecaster, Barbara Atkin. As VP of Fashion Direction at Holt Renfrew, she created innovative retail concepts such as the Holt Renfrew World Design Lab – an incubator for emerging designers and experimental ideas. Atkin continues to nurture new ideas now.  At this special breakfast , Fashion Group Internation (FGI) presented to Atkins the Fashion Visionary Award.

Marilyn Brooks along with many other fashion luminaries were in attendance, celebrating the accomplishments of this remarkable woman.
